Prequel Batman Arkham Origins coming to current-gen, Wii U

Warner has apparently announced Batman Arkham Origins.

We haven’t seen the press release ourselves, but Canadian site GameFocus claims that the publisher has confirmed the game for release on Ps3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.

Next-gen versions aren’t mentioned.

They also name October 25th as the release date.

UPDATE: Well that’s that then. The game is set to be the cover star of the next GameInformer. Origins will be a prequel to both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

A handheld spin-off called Batman Arkham Origins BLackgate is also planned for release on 3DS and Vita at the same time.
