PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X delayed

Mortal Kombat X will not arrive on last-gen consoles until the summer.

Videogamer reports that the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions remain on track to arrive on April 14th.

While NetherRealm is handling the PS4 and Xbox One releases, High Voltage is taking care of the PS3 and 360 versions.

"Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer," the publisher said in a statement.

Rumours of a last-gen delay for the fighter first emerged earlier this month, with Amazon having already changed its release date for the pair to June 30th. Some eagle-eyed observers also noted the omission of the PS3 and 360 logos from the game’s latest trailer.

Warner previously delayed the last-gen release of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which arrived over a month after the next-gen release.
