PS3 cover art is changing

Sony is once again altering the cover art for PS3 games.

As spotted by IGN, the blue makeover was revealed via the box for Tecmo Koei’s Deception IV. Sony has since confirmed that all PS3 games will from this point boast the same look.

This means that PS4, PS4 and Vita will now all look more alike on the shelves, although of course Vita boxes are all tiny and cute and handheld and stuff.

Note too that while PS3 boxes use traditional thick Amaray cases, PS4 games use the short DVD-style variant.

PS3 art has already undergone a transformation once before, when in 2009 the left hand spine was swapped for a more traditional header.
