PS3 hits 1m in UK

SCE UK has confirmed to MCV that PS3 has sold a million units in the UK since its launch on March 23rd.

ChartTrack has also revealed that the Sony console has been outselling 360 for the last month. It has been outselling 360 for the last four weeks, but they were neck and neck over the Christmas period, weeks 49-52,” said ChartTrack director Dorian Bloch.

The charts authority also confirmed that PS3 hit a million UK sales faster than its predecessor PS2.

The news comes after MCV revealed that PS3 sold a million units across Europe in December alone, and is set to overtake 360’s Euro installed base by the summer. Read the recent exclusive interview with SCEE boss David Reeves here.
