150m users for Bigpoint

Bigpoint, the games portal site and developer, has reached 150m registered users, an expansion of fifty per cent on the 100m users it had in January of this year.

The firm, which is seeing a daily new user registration of around 250,000, ascribes its growth to an increasing number of gamers opting for digital content over boxed games.

This is a fantastic achievement for us and by reaching this milestone so quickly proves that we are continually striving to create the best online gaming experience possible,” said Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz.

Our growth over the last few months has been incredible, and we expect that as our new games like Ruined Online and Battlestar Galactica become publicly available even more gamers will come on board with Bigpoint.”
