Activision not surprised by Respawn

In a brief statement issued in the wake of the shock Respawn Entertainment announcement, publisher Activision has said that it’s not surprised by the move made by former Infinity Ward bosses Jason West and Vince Zampella.

This agreement comes as no surprise to Activision given the myriad of improper activities detailed in the cross-complaint filed on Friday against Jason West and Vince Zampella,” it reads.

We look forward to continuing to work with Infinity Ward’s deep bench of proven talent on exciting new projects.”

The comment seems to infer that Respawn’s deal with EA further compounds Activision’s claims that West and Zampella had already been colluding with the rival publisher, even when still under contract at Infinity Ward.
