Activision will not have a booth at E3

Call of Duty publisher Activision Blizzard will not have a booth at this year’s E3.

Rather, the company will be showing off its new Call of Duty title on Sony’s stand, further cementing the game’s tie-up with PlayStation. That’s the new title in the series developed by Infinity Ward.

Activision announced this on its own blog in a post written by communications manager Scott Lowe.

And it isn’t the only games giant to not have a booth a this year’s E3. Electronic Arts announced in January that it would not be on the show floor, rather hosting its own event in LA and London called EA Play.

In June, we’re going to be at E3 showcasing gameplay from Infinity Ward’s ambitious new game,” Lowe wrote.

We’re looking forward to sharing exciting new details about the next great Call of Duty game in partnership with our friends at PlayStation. We’re proud to be participating in this premier video game event, but won’t have an Activision booth on the show floor.”
