â??IO Interactive has secret third projectâ??

Hitman studio IO Interactive has been developing a game for three years which it claims to be "unlike anything else", according to unconfirmed rumours.

The Danish studio – now owned by Square Enix and responsible for the Kane and Lynch series – is said to have split its resources over three projects, according to consumer site CVG.

The publication in question has a mixed reputation in regards to its ‘insider sources’.

Aside from its Hitman 5 and Kane and Lynch 2 projects, IO’s third game is said to be a “unique, multiplatform title”.

Speaking of the new game, a source told the website: “imagine all the violence of Hitman and Kayne & Lynch but not scripted."
