Amazing Spider-Man 2 is available to download on Xbox One right now

Despite supposedly being delayed indefinitely on Xbox One, Activision’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 has suddenly been made available to download in the US.

The game, which hits virtually all other formats in the US today and the UK this Friday, was thrown into doubt on Xbox One earlier this month when Activision said that when and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD – we are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One”.

However, as spotted by OXM, the game has today been made available as a $59.99 download on Xbox One via Xbox Live.

There’s now word yet on whether it’s a deliberate move or a mistake – or indeed whether we’ll see the same in the UK this Friday.

UPDATE: Developer Beenox has said that the situation regarding the game on Xbox One has been ‘frustrating’. Some are also reporting that the download is no longer working.
