Android PlayStation emulator pulled

A PlayStation emulator has been removed from the Andorid Market today – because of the upcoming Xperia Play launch.

That’s according to ZodTTD, the developer behind PSX4Droid. The emulator was available to Android phones before it was removed due to content violation”, reports Pocket Gamer.

ZodTTD claimed on Twitter he was working like made on a psx4droid update” and that he believes Sony had something to do with his software’s removal, adding Xperia Play must be coming soon”.

He’s not wrong – Sony Ericsson has issued a statement confirming that the official PlayStation phone is still on track for its UK launch tomorrow.

Pocket Gamer reports that a rival emulator called fspe is still live on the Android Market, but Google could soon make that disappear too.
