Studios have until May 31st to put themselves forward for six-month program

Applications now open for Core Labs Game Accelerator

A new accelerator begins in San Francisco this summer, and there’s even room for studios outside the Bay Area.

The Core Labs Game Accelerator will be based in the offices of GSVlabs and will offer workspace, equipment, mentorship and marketing to 10 new developers who will be able to work on-site. However, the program is also open to 10 studio working remotely, according to Gamasutra.

The six-month program begins on July 1st, with applications now open at the accelerator’s website. The deadline for submissions is May 31st.

The Core Labs Game Accelerator is open to devs working on any platform, ideally with teams of less than 10 people.

It is free to enter, but successfully selected debs will need to agree to give GSVlabs a 10 per cent share of their final game’s revenues, plus a two per cent equity in their studio.

The program is backed and sponsored by Unity, Leap Motion, Amazon, Nvidia, Warner Bros and more.
