Assassin’s Creed Pirates coming to iOS, Android in December

Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Pirates, a spin-off of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag for tablets and phones, will launch for both iOS and Android platforms early next month.

The publisher confirms the mobile game will release simultaneously December 5th on both the App Store and Google Play, with IGN reporting further that it’ll carry a $4.99 price tag.

Assassin’s Creed Pirates utilizes the pirating mechanics in Black Flag, including real-time naval battles. Just like in Black Flag, players can upgrade vessels, recruit crew, and take on enemy ships.

Assassin’s Creed IV itself originally launched for PS3, Wii U, and Xbox 360 in later October. The game landed last week on PC, PS4, and Xbox One as well.
