Battleborn price dropped as Overwatch arrives worldwide

UK High Street retailers have dropped the price of 2K shooter Battleborn just in time for the arrival of Blizzard’s rival team shooter Overwatch.

Supermarkets such as Sainsburys and Tesco have dropped the game to 30. Online retailers such as Amazon, GAME, ShopTo, Gameseek and GameStop have all dropped their prices to the same or less, too.

The drops aren’t restricted to the UK, either. Kotaku reports that similar drops have been seen in the US.

The hype surrounding today’s launch of Overwatch has been immense. Marketing for Battleborn continues, nonetheless, although sales of the game from the data available appear to be fairly low thus far. Battleborn this week fell to No.27 in its third week on the charts, having debuted at No.1 in its first week.

Steamspy estimates that total worldwide Steam sales have yet to reach 120k, although these numbers will not be 100% accurate.
