Blizzards hands out free cards to EU Hearthstone players

European players of Blizzard’s card game Hearthstone have been offered a sweetener to apologise for recent disruptions to the service.

Many players on the EU servers encountered trouble at the end of last month, coinciding with the climax of Season 13 and the release of the final set of single player Blackrock Mountain quests. There have also been complaints of ongoing lag since then.

As a result, two free card packs are now being handed out to eligible players.

We know access to Hearthstone in Europe was spotty last week. Sorry about that, and we really appreciate your patience as we worked to get the tavern back into shape,” Blizzard said. As a thank-you for bearing with us, ALL Hearthstone accounts in the European Hearthstone region created prior to May 3rd 2015 will enjoy two free Classic Hearthstone card packs, free of charge.

The card packs can be found in the ‘Open Packs’ section, and will be delivered to your account within 24 hours. No need to rush; these packs never expire. It may take up to 24 hours before your packs will appear.”
