Bugs Bunny and Scooby-Doo go free-to-play

Warner Bros has unveiled a new free-to-play online game that brings the worlds of Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo together.

Cartoon Universe is the first game from WB Games Montreal and lets players create and customise their own cartoon character.

Once they have their creation established, they can engage in a variety of mini-games and other activities on the game’s Looney Tunes island. Or they can head to the Scooby-Doo island and help Mystery, Inc explore spooky levels and unmask dastardly villains.

"Cartoon Universe is an online game filled with safe, social worlds designed just for kids," said WBIE’s SVP of production and development Samantha Ryan. "They’ll love discovering a constantly changing place full of fun activities, cool rewards and memorable humourous moments with their favourite characters."

Cartoon Universe will launch in North America this Autumn, with a UK release to follow in 2013.
