Bungie ex named as â??343 Industries head’

Bungie’s ex-lead writer for the Halo franchise, Frank O’Connor, has for the first time been named as “creative director for 343 Industries”

343 Industries was previously only rumoured to be the new Halo Division at Microsoft, though an LA Times interview with O’Connor cites the division as “the Microsoft division that oversees all Halo products.”



Last year Microsoft Game Studios hired high-profile talent to its internal Halo studio, snapping up the likes of former MGS4 assistant producer Ryan Payton and Bungie’s Frank O’Connor.

343’s O’Connor was speaking in an interview as Microsoft announced the production of seven short anime films, entitled Halo Legends, with the aid of five Japanese production houses.
