Call of Duty: Black Ops III tops Black Friday in US – Infoscout

Infoscout has released its list of most popular Black Friday games in terms of revenue, with Call of Duty: Black Ops III coming out on top.

Discounts on Walmart.com in particular gave the shooter a major boost, according to themarketing research firm. The news follows last month’sannouncement from Activisionthat retail sales for Black Ops III have seen a year-on-year sales increase compared to 2014 Advanced Warfare.

Target’s $299 Gears of War Xbox One bundle was the most popular console bundle for the promotional period, thoughVenture Beatreports Playstation’s popularity in the 18-35 age group rose to 48 per cent. PlayStation products also edged out Nintendo for the number two spot in the over 35 age group, with Microsoft maintaining its lead in the category.

The findings are based on 250,000 receipts sent in by US shoppers to Infoscout’s data collection apps.
