Call of Duty franchise has sold 175m copies

The Call of Duty series has sold 175m units, Activision has revealed ahead of this year’s CoD Championship.

The publisher has released an inforgraphic (below) that reveals the figure, along with a few gameplay stats.

For instance, 100bn multiplayer matches have been played and 300bn grenades have been thrown in Call of Duty games over the last decade.

The 2015 Call of Duty Championship takes place this weekend (March 27-29) in Los Angeles, and the entire event will be available to watch live online.
