Charlie Brookers games show is one-off

Celebrated columnist and critic Charlie Brooker has revealed that his highly-anticipated Gameswipe TV show will be a 50 minute one-off special.

Fans were hoping that Brooker was to create a full series dedicated to games, following success with TV review show Screenwipe and current affairs programme Newswipe.

Writing on Twitter this afternoon, Brooker said: ‘Can confirm: Gameswipe 1x50min special = coming soon’.

Brooker also revealed that he is creating a one-off Screenwipe special to air on December 9th, and working on the second series of Newswipe, which will air in ‘early 2010′.
