ChoicesUK gets new owners

Endless LLP has acquired Webb Group – the online specialists that runs ChoicesUK.

Choices UK is a supplier of games, music, DVD and other entertainment products. Its clients include Co-op, Spar, Wilkinsons, Currys, Littlewoods and Next. It claims to be the leading supplier for convenience and catalogue retailers.

The firm also runs its own rental and ecommerce business – including choicesuk.com

Endless is a private equity fund and will invest 15 million into Webb Group. The Webb Group has been actively seeking a strong financial backer for some time.

The funding package we are providing will allow the business to offer a strong service proposition to its existing customers and will provide a platform to exploit some exciting new growth opportunities,” said Endless investment director Mathew Deering.

Bernard Kumeta, Webb Group’s Managing Director, added: I am delighted to be working with Endless. Their experience and focussed approach will help us to deliver on our strong growth ambitions.”

ChoicesUK was purchased by Webb following the collapse of the Choices High Street chain in September 2007. A selection of Choices stores were bought up by rental rivals Blockbuster, while Webb bought the wholesale, online and mail order divisions.
