Command & Conquer 4 named Tiberian Twilight

Electronic Arts has announced the official title for the next instalment in its long-running strategy series will be Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight.

The game is due for release on PC in 2010 and brings the series’ Tiberium saga to an end. The subtitle was submitted and voted for by franchise fans via the official website and follows the pattern of its predecessors: Tiberian Dawn, Tiberian Sun and Tiberium Wars.

Developer EALA’s lead producer Mike Glosecki said: Our sophisticated fans are a tremendous community with a great love for the series. We really wanted to involve them in Command & Conquer 4 – what better way than to have them create the title?

We were blown away by all the creative names they came up with but the most popular selection, Tiberian Twilight, seemed the best fit, embodying that the saga is coming to a powerful and epic conclusion.”
