GDC 09: Microsoft's developer conference returns in February next year

Dates set for Gamefest 2010

This morning on the opening day of GDC, Microsoft has confirmed that its Gamefest developers conference is to return in February 2010.

Gamefest 2010 takes place on February 10th & 11th, returning to the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle.

The event took place in 2008, but Microsoft last year confirmed that it was to put the show on hiatus due to economic concerns in the industry during 2009.

Gamefest focuses on games development for all Microsoft’s game platforms, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Games For Windows and details its development initiative XNA.

Promotional materials from the firm says: "Gamefest 2010 rocks with two full days of content from Microsoft, the company behind the tools and technologies that you use to create amazing games."
