Indie games label honoured for success with The Escapists

Develop Awards 2015: Team17 wins Publishing Hero

UK firm Team17 took home the prize for Publishing Hero from last night’s Publishing Hero.

The studio behind Worms has transformed itself over the past 18 months by helping to bring indie titles to market, expanding its publishing and co-development business.

Successes for Team17 have included The Escapists, LA Cops, Overruled, and Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark.

Team17 beat stiff competition from this year’s other finalists, including last year’s winner SCEE Strategic Content, Square Enix, 505 Games, Deep Silver, Greenshoots, Chillingo and Curve Digital.
