Acclaim and ZooKazoo have signed up with Sci Fi to produce a new series of online games and casual-oriented titles.
The move comes as part of Sci Fi’s Sci Fi Ventures push, which is looking to create new properties outside of its staple TV network offerings such as Battlestar Galactica.
Acclaim has been turned into a brand for MMOs courtesy of David Perry and Howard Marks, publishing the likes of 9Dragons and 2Moons.
ZooKazoo is a youth orientated online world, and signing with them is Sci Fi’s first push into the younger end of the virtual world market.
"The partnerships will offer Sci Fi consumers a robust and imaginative series of immersive casual games that embody the broad appeal of the SCI FI brand," said the broadcaster in a statement.
