Inaugural 48-hour development challenge held during industry conference

Dundee College â??AppJamâ?? kicks off today

The first ‘AppJam’ 48-hour development challenge has begun at Dundee College today.

The event, taking place as part of the International App Conference, sees ten teams of development students each produce a mobile app from two days of solid work, before presenting their finished products to gathered industry professionals.

“The AppJam is all about creation, knowledge transfer and commercialisation,” said Andy Mackenzie, project manager at the Centre for Creative and Digital Industries at Dundee College.

“It offers a fantastic opportunity for participants to meet and work with other talented individuals, and the chance to create prototypes that they can take to market.”
