E3 2010: Sonic Free Riders races onto Kinect

A Kinect exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog title has been confirmed by Sega which will be available to buy on the motion accessory’s launch day.

Sonic Free Riders allows players to turn, twist and jump to race characters from the Sonic series on vehicles like bikes and hover boards.

Featuring both single-player and multiplayer modes, the upcoming title also contains a range of courses to traverse such as beach resorts and canyons. Playable characters include Sonic, Tails, Dr. Eggman and more.

Last week rumours emerged that the game would be announced and Microsoft has now confirmed Sonic Free Riders as one of its 15 Kinect launch titles.

The Xbox 360 motion device goes on sale on November 4th in the US with a European version to follow shortly afterwards.
