IO Interactive takes new approach to latest entry in series

E3 2015: New Hitman focuses on user-generated content, post-release development

IO Interactive has unveiled the latest entry into the Hitman series.

Called just Hitman, the sandbox game will offer traditional gameplay elements such as assassinating targets through a method of your choosing.

This time however IO Interactive says it will continue developing the game post-launch, releasing regular new content and locations.

It will also focus on user-generated content, allowing players to create their own contacts. IO Interactive creative director Christian Elverdam said he expects "hundreds of thousands" of unique user-generated contracts to be created.

Hitman will be released digitally on December 8th.
