EB Games MacArthur Square to host Gears of War 3 media launch

Microsoft has announced a range of midnight and breakfast launches for Gears of War 3, with the primary event being held at EB Games MacArthur Square.

The event will be for media and consumers alike, and will take place from 10pm on 19th September. There will be gift bags for the first 300 people to collect their pre-order, dress up competitions for fans, playable upcoming and new release Kinect games at the venue and more.

Other midnight launch events will be taking place around Australia at various specialist retailers in the ACT, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania, as well as breakfast launch events at retail locations on 20th September from 8am (local time) in Western Australia. Consumers are encouraged to contact their specialist retailers of choice for their nearest launch.

Gears of War 3 launches worldwide on 20th September (and 22nd September in Japan), making New Zealand the first country to go on sale globally. It will be available exlusively on Xbox 360 for AUD$99.95, with the limited edition for AUD$129.95 and Epic edition for AUD$195.93.
