Edinburgh Festival explores online worlds

The line-up of speakers at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival continues to grow, with Second Life and EVE Online creators the latest to join the roster.

Linden Lab’s Jim Purbick will explore the intricacies of developing for Second Life in the festival’s aptly-titled ‘Developing for Second Life’ strand on Tuesday August 14th at 2.45pm. Purbick will also look at the booming industry that has unexpectedly sprung up around Second Life.

EVE Online developer CCP’s Hilmar Petersson is also appearing at the festival. He will front ‘Exploring EVE Onine’ t 11.45pm on Monday August 13th and will also contribute to the ‘Virtual Societies’ discussion t 12.10pm on Tuesday August 14th.

The Edinburgh Interactive Festival conference will be held at the Royal College of Physicians in Queen Street, Edinburgh from August 12th to August 14th.
