Ex-Rovio and Remedy devs form mobile game studio

Ex-Rovio and Remedy developers have opened a new mobile gaming studio in Finland called Helsinki GameWorks.

The start-up houses 11 staff and will focus on developing free-to-play mid-core mobile titles.

As well as working on its own IP, the studio is also co-developing a number of projects with other companies.

“I am thrilled to announce our team, which has worked the breadth of the industry and has come together to realise a shared vision of modern mobile games," said Helsinki GameWorks CEO Kalle Kaivola.

"This team works out of a passion for delivering deeply captivating experiences for the contemporary gamer."
