Fan tries to pre-order Fallout 4 with 2,000 bottle caps

One Fallout super fan has attempted to pre-order the latest entry in Bethesda’s apocalyptic series with a box of bottle caps.

Seth, aka Gator Machete – sent Bethesda 2,240 bottle caps, which took the fan seven and a half years to collect.

Taking to image hosting site Imgur, he said that: Fallout 3 was my favorite game for several years, so I made the rational choice to start saving up bottle caps. Turns out 4.5 years of undergrad and 3 years in a Master’s program leads to a lot of drinking.

It ended up being 11.2 pounds of bottle caps. You don’t want to know how much it cost to ship it to Maryland.”

Fallout 4 was announced just before E3, and was confirmed for a 2015 release at Bethesda’s press conference.
