Fans choose badass moniker for Atlus fighter

It’s hard to say whether Atlus would have called its upcoming PSP fighting title Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble were it not for the naming competition thrown open to fans – though the answer is probably not.

Nonetheless, the Atlus Faithful fan community has spoken and that’s exactly what the game will be called when it hits US retail some time early next year.

The title perfectly suits the gameplay style, attitude, and humour that PSP owners can look forward to when the over-the-top brawler arrives early next year,” Atlus sales and PR manager Aram Jabbari stated.

The title was voted in by a 3-to-1 margin, which means that fans strongly felt it was the best fit for the game, or, that they all giggled uncontrollably at the sight of the word ‘badass’. Either way, everybody wins, except of course for the titles not chosen.”
