Feder: Spec Ops can win market share

New FPS franchise Spec Ops faces a tough time when it comes to market this Q4, but Take Two CEO Ben Feder believes his company’s new IP has got what it takes to make an impact on the market.

The same release window will see the likes of Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and the EA pair of Medal of Honor and Crysis 2 all fighting it out for supremacy of the genre.

The military shooter category is one of the most popular in our industry and we believe that it can support numerous offerings,” Feder told MCV in an exclusive interview.

I’m excited about the unique story-driven approach that 2K is taking. With Spec Ops, I’m confident in our ability to deliver a triple-A title that will have many innovative features.”
