Single-day IGDS event will hold over 60 focused keynotes, panels and workshops

First India Game Developer Summit announced

An Indian media group is looking to strengthen the nation’s bourgeoning game industry by organising the first ever India Game Developer Summit (IGDS).

Saltmarch Media says that the IGDS will offer “a high quality summit experience [that] offers its participants professional development and educational programs, the best food and comforts and ample networking opportunities to foster informal interaction among the game developer community in India.”

The event takes place in the Indian southeast city of Bangalore, from 27 February 2010. It is said will offer over 60 focused sessions, keynotes, panels and workshops.

Over 20 speakers are set to present at the event, which will also hold a show floor for over 30 vendors. Event0 tracks cover game business management, online gaming, mobile gaming, audio and careers.

Early-bird registration ends on Dec 26.
