Former Epic boss Capps joins Unity as advisor

Mike Capps, the former president of Unreal Engine creator Epic Games, has joined Unity Technologies.

He takes on the role of internal advisor, and will work with CEO John Riccitiello, the executive team and the core R&D team. In ablog post on Unity’s site, the firm confirmed Capps will spend approximately one week per month on Unity”.

He’s a very strong supporter of Unity’s core principles of solving hard problems so our developers don’t have to, and the movement to democratise game development,” Riccitiello wrote. He’ll be a huge boon to us in Unity continuing down that path.”
