Former Warner Bros. CEO joins Activision Blizzard board

Ex-Warner Bros. CEO and chairman Barry Meyer has accepted a position on Activision Blizzard’s board of directors.

Games Industry reports the publisher revealed the new addition to its leadership group yesterday, stating that Meyer has been appointed to the company’s nominating and corporate governance committee as well.

Meyer departed from his position as CEO of Warner Bros. last March, and retired from his role as chairman in November. He had served as CEO since 2009, and had been with Warner since he was hired as director of business affairs in 1971.

Meyer will still maintain his role as manager and co-CEO of consulting firm North Ten Mile Associates, and will continue to serve on the directorial and advisory boards for the variety of organizations he represents.
