Forza 3 shifts 1m copies in first month

Forza Motorsport 3 has surpassed the one million mark in worldwide sales within one month of its release.

Microsoft also announced the Forza community has spent a total of 6.6 million hours playing online during that time, with more than 64 million sessions.

The company also stated that players have driven a combined total of over 590 million miles, stating that this is equal to more than three trips from the Earth to the Sun and back”, according to Industry Gamers.

Later, Xbox 360 boss Aaron Greenberg added via Twitter that $18.7 billion has been spent on the Storefront to date. Racing fans have made more than four million auction bids on the 1.5 million items put up for sale.
