Company releases statement that wholly contradicts indications made by its CFO

Gameloft neglects and supports Android

Gameloft has issued a statement reaffirming its support for Google’s Android platform, Casualgaming.biz reports.

This may come as a surprise, given that last week, the company’s CFO told investors that Gameloft had cut its investment in Android due to disappointment at low sales of its games.

The publisher has now promised to continue releasing games for the current generation of Android handsets, while making richer HD titles for newer models like the Motorola Droid and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
