GDC: Video: UE3 startles with next-gen visuals

Epic Games has shown off the latest enhancements to its development powerhouse Unreal Engine 3.

As reported by Kotaku, the tech demo offers viewers a glimpse into the platforms capabilities when fused with DirectX 11.

The video includes clips from its Samaritan demo of Nvidia Apex clothing, DX11 MSAA Hair, subsurface scattering, tessellation and displacement and deferred rendering with MSAA support.

It also showcases how current console and mobile games such as Arkham City and Gears of War have used the the engine, as well as a glimpse of Aliens: Colonial Marines for the Wii U
