Ghostbusters future remains in the balance

There are big question marks hanging over Terminal Reality’s video game adaptation of classic ‘80s movie outing Ghostbusters at the moment – but another spectre has appeared on the horizon with the news that a major retailer has removed all mention of the title from its website.

Kotaku reports that US retailer GameSpot has not only cleared its site of all mention of the game, but also offered a full refund to those who had pre-ordered the game.

The future of the game was thrown into doubt following Activision-Blizzard’s post-merger spring clean, though other reports have suggested that the game is still being lined up for release – possibly in conjunction with the film’s 25th anniversary next year.
