, a Guitar Hero: Metallica game has been confirmed by Activision in an SEC filing.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Edward Woo dug out information on the title, which will be in a similar vein to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith game released earlier this year.

It will be released in Activision’s first quarter of 2009.

"In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms," the company said in its report.

In other news, Activision’s SEC filing also confirmed that the next James Bond game, developed by Treyarch using the Call of Duty 4 engine, will be titled Quantum of Solace – the same as the next James Bond film.
