Guitar Hero: World Tour dated

The highly-anticipated release of Guitar Hero: World Tour is set to hit retail next month, with the title’s multiple SKUs set to launch over a three-week period.

Both the solus and guitar controller bundle SKUs for 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2 will be released on November 7th. The ‘super bundle’, which includes drum controller, guitar controller, microphone and game, is set for release on November 14th for PS3, Wii, and 360. And lastly, the PlayStation 2 super bundle will be available in-store on November 21st.

We’re delighted to confirm the release dates for all formats and bundles,” commented Activision’s UK and Ireland marketing director David Tyler. Guitar Hero World Tour is one of the most anticipated games launches this year so I’d recommend that everyone gets their orders in quick for the Christmas rush.”

To promote Guitar Hero World Tour, Activision is giving away a free Les Paul guitar controller to anyone who pre-orders the super bundle set, and Tyler told MCV that this has given the game a big boost at retail. The free bass guitar controller offer running with all pre-orders has been exceptionally well received,” he said. We can only wait to see the reaction when the game hits the shelves.”
