Microsoft to revive the series with a new trilogy inbound

Microsoft has confirmed the Halo 4 project at its E3 press conference, following a disasterous leak of the game’s details ahead of the show.

Microsoft has announced the game will be the start of a new Halo trilogy.

The project is being developed by a team at Microsoft’s 343 Industries group, and picks up the story of the series’ key ptotagonist, the Master Chief.

The franchise’s original creator, Bungie, has broken away from the series having signed a ten-year deal with Activision.

The now-independent developer is creating a brand new IP for the Call Of Duty publisher.
