Halo: Master Chief Collection patch adds Halo 4 Spartan Ops, new fixes

343 Industries has released a new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, adding new bug fixes along with the Spartan Ops co-op campaign from Halo 4.

343 explained in October – ahead of the game’s troubled launch – that the Halo 4 Spartan Ops content would miss being part of the release content and had been rescheduled for a December arrival, due to the technical enhancements” the studio was working on.

Today’s patch also focuses on improving and fixing a number of items plaguing the game, and more specifically its matchmaking portion. Full patch notes can be found here.

Over the past weekend, 343 and publisher Microsoft announced that Master Chief owners that played (or attempted to) between November 11th and December 19th will receive a free remastered version of Halo 3: ODST as well as other goodies at some point during spring 2015.
