Ian Livingstone to open two STEAM-focused schools

Industry veteran Ian Livingstone is opening two education institutions in Tower Hamlets and Bournemouth.

The Livingstone Academies will be opening under the Aspirations Academy Trust and will provide 3,000 students a ‘rigorous education’ based in the STEAM subjects: science, technology, engineering, arts and maths.

As a part of the curriculum, students will have Dragon’s Den-style competitions, as well as running mock companies.

These academies are two of 22 schools announced today.

The launch of the outlets follows Livingstone’s work getting computing and coding onto the national curriculum.
