Gordon Bellamy named chairman of the International Game Developers Association

IGDA elects new chair

The IGDA has elected Gordon Bellamy, senior producer at Emerging Media, as it’s new chair.

The decision was made during the the board of director’s annual meeting to appoint new officers last week.

Bellamy said he looks forward to leading the board as they work to improve the lives and careers of its members.

“The new board members are an incredible group of leaders ready to tackle the challenges facing our industry and they join a great board,” he said

“Personally, I hope to expand support to our local chapters and special interest groups and try some new things with conferences on the east coast so we can reach more members and grow problem-solving from the grassroots level.”

Other positions decided include CEO of 1st Playable Productions Tobi Saulnier becoming treasurer, and founder of Riptide Games Brian Robbins becoming the new secretary.

“With the new board members that have joined us we have an incredible group of leaders ready to tackle the tough challenges the industry is facing,” said Robbins.
