The developer of Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive has expressed its desire to port the game to PC.
As spotted by PC Gamer, Insomniac told one fan on Twitter that it would love it if it could happen but ball is in Xbox’s court on it”. Shortly after it added: We’d love for it to come to PC, though it’s up to Xbox on that one.”
Microsoft’s current policy is for the bulk of its first party games to be released on both Xbox One and PC. Indeed, recent releases Quantum Break and Forza Horizon 3 were ‘Xbox Play Anywhere’ titles, while upcoming release Gears of War 4 will also grace both platforms. Quantum Break has even been released on Steam, after its initial debut on the Windows Store.
However, a number of earlier Xbox One games have never made the jump across platforms.
