Hitman developer changes focus with Mini Ninjas

IO Interactive targets young audience

IO Interactive, the developer behind the Hitman series and the recent Kane and Lynch, has unveiled its latest game – and it’s aimed at kids.

Mini Ninjas sees ‘the world’s smallest hero’ Hiro as he fights ‘an army of magical army of evil Samurai and the Evil Samurai Warlord in his Fortress of Doom’ – but given its PEGI 7+ rating, it’s not going to be less Ninja Gaiden-style bloodbath, more a cutesy action-adventure.

“Mini Ninjas represents a truly special game for us,” said Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive.

“The whole team is very excited about it, because it is unique in so many ways. From the art style to the characters and the depth of the game – Mini Ninjas has that exceptional appeal, which is sure to keep both young and old very entertained.”
