Italian games developers are to get their first dedicated conference later this year.
The Italian Videogame Developers Conference starts in Milan as a part of Ludic@rena, the Italian Videogame Festival, and runs on November 21st and 22nd.
Wolfgang Marzin, CEO of the Leipziger Messe and organizer of the Leipzig Games Convention, will open the event with a talk about ‘the outstanding growth of the gaming industry’.
During the second day, the event will be split into three sessions: the first looks at independent developers, the second will look at professional games development in Italy, while the third will feature a roundtable debate about the state of Italian game development.
A number of local studios have already signed up to attend or speak at the event, including: Milestone, Artematica, Ubisoft Milan, Twelve, Black Sheep Studios, SpinVector, Virtual Identity and Raylight.
