James Bond missing in action on Steam

Three 007 games have been removed from Valve’s leading downloads store, as well as Activision’s own digital portal.

Steam users were the first to notice that 007 Legends, 007 Blood Stone and Quantum of Solace are now missing from the service, according to VG247. It was later found that they have also been removed from store.activision.com.

The trio constitutes Activision’s entire PC catalogue of James Bond titles. 2010’s GoldenEye was only released on consoles.

Speculation suggests Activision’s rights to the Bond licence, which it picked up in 2006, have expired. Alternatively, this could be in the wake of Eurocom’s closure last month – 007 Legends was the studio’s last release.

MCV has contacted both Activision and Bond owners EON Productions for comment.
